How To Make A Homemade Tincture

Here are easy instructions on how to make herbal or flower Tinctures. These are just a few quick guidelines to get you started. Once you are accustomed to the technique add more or less of your chosen ingredients.
Whether dried or fresh herbs and flowers are used is completely up to the practitioner. I use both and get great results every time.

What You Will Need to Make a Natural Herbal  Tincture

*Herbs or Flowers
*Vodka, distilled water or vinegar
*Mason Jar or any type of glass jar (even a jelly jar)
Always use glass NEVER plastic, plastic absorbs the fragrances

There are several items that you will need to make your own tinctures. First you need either dried or fresh herbs. Vodka at least 80 proof to cover the herbs (make a non-alcoholic tincture using distilled water, or vinegar. a vinegar tincture will have to be refrigerated). Mason jars with lids. Lastly, labels for the jars.

You will need 7-10 ounces of herbs for every quart of vodka, brandy or rum. I don’t measure, I just place enough herbs/flowers or both into a glass jar and pour just enough Vodka to cover it.

Put the lid tightly on the jar, place in a dark place area (such as back of a cabinet or closet) and shake 1-2 times a day for at least two weeks. When you are ready to use your plant based mixture, give it one final good shake and strain. I use panty hose to strain.

Alcohol based tinctures can last up to 5 years when prepared properly. I make my tinctures to prepare botanical perfume so I don’t worry about expiration.

If you reside with someone struggling with addiction. Please make a non-alcoholic tincture.

Homemade Cream Deodorant Recipe

Making deodorant at home is so easy and you probably already have the ingredients in your kitchen or bathroom. There are so many synthetic and questionable ingredients in store bought deodorant why not give it a try.

Now keep in mind that this is deodorant NOT anti-perspirant. So you will still sweat, but your sweat will not stink. Your body needs to sweat and expel toxins. Anti-perspirants trap those odors in. Technically sweat doesn’t have an odor it’s the bacteria on your skin that produces the odor.

Ingredients Needed-

Coconut oil  or Vegetable Shortening

Cornstarch

Baking Soda

Tables spoons

glass bowl

Preparation-

Scoop 5 tbsp of coconut oil and place in the bowl. Then scoop 1 tbsp each of cornstarch and baking soda and mix until creamy.

Thats it.

This recipe is so effective and a little goes a long way.

This isn’t the recipe I use on my website but I highly recommend it to anyone who is choosing go natural.

I have deodorant for sale on my website (in bar form) that is just as effective as store brands.

Quick & Easy Banishing Oil Recipe

Do you light candles when you do a banishing spell or do you anoint your candles during or prior to a banishing spell? If so try this quick and effective banishing oil recipe that you can make in mere minutes.
When I was comprising this recipe it was based on a small jar (10-15 ml). Any size jar or container can be used just add more or less ingredients to suit the strength or “power” desired.

Banishing Oil Recipe for anointing candles
put 6-9 black peppercorns in amber glass bottle
fill with ur fave oil
shake

Now wasn’t that easy. Of course you can tweak it however you like. Including sage would add protection properties to it, a few pieces of rock salt would add purification properties, or omitting the peppercorns and adding rose petals would make it perfect to anoint candles for a love spell. The list is endless.
Enjoy,
Bewitched.
