The Laws of Magickal Rights

The Laws of Magikal Rights
When you’re performing a ritual, rite or spell, karma is always in affect.
As a Shaman, or witch you must always think of the spiritual implication of
your intent. Here are some basic do’s and don’ts for the magikal practioner
to adhere to. Follow these simple rules and the laws of karma will not come
back to bite you and knock you off your feet.
The Do’s:
1.All actions should be of positive intent.
2.Conduct a spell or right with happiness, love and kindness.
3.Hold respect for all living things.
4.Accept the responsibility for your actions.
The Don’ts
1.Never cast a spell or right out of anger, jealousy or greed.
2.Never cast a spell for harm or to endanger another living being.
3.Never conduct a spell or right that requires harm to another living
being.
4.Never cast a spell or right to force someone into following your will
and desire.
The Reasoning Of The Laws
Now that you know the basics, think about why they’re in place to begin
with.
The most important and ultimate lesson of any spiritual belief system is to
learn, practice and live unconditional love. Above all else, this is the
underlying goal of all spiritual paths. Unconditional love is not an easy
path to follow. We are all human and we do make mistakes. But as a magikal
practitioner you must make the extra effort to adhere to this path. And the
lesson starts with yourself.
But why do you think this one lesson is so important and is the underlying
reason behind all the laws of magikal right? Well look at the laws. Your
actions in life and in magik should be positive in their intent. Having
respect for all living things is part of being positive and practicing
unconditional love. You wouldn’t harm a living creature if you loved it
unconditionally.

Spells and Magickal Etiquette

This is only a guide and does not express the opinions of all Wiccans and Pagans. Use this list and add more to it if you desire.

* Remember the Wiccan Rede . . . “Do as you will, and harm none.”.

* Never do magick or a spell that seeks to control anyone else. That includes spells you think are for their own good. Never try to dominate another through magick. This rule makes loves spells controversial.

* Only cast a spell for another person if they have asked you to do so. Then ONLY do the exact spell that they have asked for…do not add to or take away from what they have specified.

* There are exceptions to every rule for example, animals, the sick and elderly, minors, physically disabled or other persons who are under your care. Always check carefully to make sure you’re magick is within the Divine will.

* Think all magick through thoroughly. Try NOT to do magick that affects a whole community (i.e. weather magick). Weather magick will change the natural pattern . . . You could be responsible for far-off droughts or floods. Which in turn affects farmers and their crops and livestock. Which directly affects their income.

* Be respectful to your magick. Always perform your spells in places where you can remain focused and uninterrupted.

* Clean up your magickal/sacred space before you begin. Use your besom and/or vaccum, dust, consecrate your tools, when wiping things down use salt water for purification, censor or walk the area with a incense stick or cone.

*Clean up your magickal/sacred space residue. Release the  elements and deities, thank them or show appreciation for their presence, erase signs and symbols, and open the circle before you leave.

*Try not to leave your circle during rituals and spell casting but if you must, ALWAYS cut a door/opening with your wand, athame or index finger of your power hand.

Knot/Cord Magick…Why Isn’t It As Popular As Candle and Incense Magick

Knot magick also known as cord magick,  is no less effective than any other form of magick. So why isn’t it used as often? Many Witches/Wiccans have never even heard of it.

Knot magick is a form of spell work that is less well-known than some others, but is no less powerful.

The only material you need to perform a knot spell is a cord of some kind. Anything will do, but make sure it is long enough to hold all your knots and the material of the cord should be natural. Craft shops are great sources for lengths of cord made from silk, cotton, hemp, leather, wool or even ribbon. Choose a colour to match the intention of the spell.

You can use your cord as-is, but to add more of your personal energy to the spell, you can also braid it before working the knots. Obviously, the material needs to be fairly thin or the resulting cord will be too thick to hold the knots. You can combine colors too, to more finely tune the color energy to your needs. Make sure you have a sufficient length of material, as it will shorten up considerably when braided. Focus on your purpose as you braid your cord.

Once you have your cord ready, it’s time to make the spell. Any purpose can be used with cord magick, but spells that involve binding are more appropriate. I don’t mean binding of another person necessarily, but any kind of ‘tying up’ or ‘holding fast’. Some examples might be: spells to eliminate bad habits, to help keep emotions in check, to bind up an illness, or to secure a new job.

A typical or traditional knot spell has nine knots, and the words spoken are shown below. You concentrate and focus your energy on your purpose, and repeat each line as you tie each knot. But you could also choose a number of knots to match your purpose (numerologically speaking), and you can recite your own words as well.

Your magick will continue to work as long as the knots are tied. Once your goal has manifested itself, you should dispose of the cord without untying the knots. Burning or burying it are two options, so long as your cord is made from natural materials. You could also just keep the knotted cord tucked safely away.

Traditional Nine Knot Spell
By the knot of one, the spell’s begun
By the knot of two, I make it true
By the knot of three, so mote it be
By the knot of four, the open door
By the knot of five, the spell’s alive
By the knot of six, the spell is fixed
By the knot of seven, the earth and heaven
By the knot of eight, the stroke of fate
By the knot of nine, the thing is mine

Personal Protection Shields-part 1

Good shielding requires you to have some level and knowledge of visualization techniques, which may be combined with meditation. Basic energy sensing and manipulation is also helpful, but not required.

There are quite a number of people who can sense aspects about other people. Some people can “read” other people if they are not well shielded.

There are some people who are so negative that they drain other people mentally, emotionally, physically and psycologically. We all know someone who can ruin the best day and make us feel tired or even physically ill. Strong and Effective shielding can reduce or eliminate this.

Basic Techniques – Visualizations
The basic techniques for shielding are very simple, but require quite a bit of practice to be effective.

Beginner Visualization (The Egg)
The most basic shielding technique involves visualizing a barrier around yourself. The most basic barrier is probably the sphere or egg of white light.

Ground and center your energy using whatever method works best for you. Close your eyes and breathe deeply for a few minutes. Allow yourself to see your body with your mind’s eye. Hold this image until it becomes stable. Now see your skin begin to glow with white light. Allow this light to become a layer that covers your entire body. Let it expand to be as thick as you think it needs to be and continue to grow outward. As it moves away from the surface of your body, it becomes a glowing white egg (or sphere) encircling you from all directions. Allow it to expand to the edge of your personal comfort zone. Know that you are safe within this space, and allow yourself to feel calm. Hold this image firmly in your mind for several minutes before opening your eyes.

Use this visualization whenever you feel you need protection, and particularly before doing any other energetic or psychic work. It is also a good practice to begin your day with this visualization and to consciously draw your attention toward the mental image of your shield throughout the day whenever you think about it or whenever you are faced with drama or negative energy.

A Spell to Stop Slander or Anyone Who is Trying To Negatively Influence Others Against You

This is a good spell to use against a slanderer or anyone who is trying to negatively influence others against you. This spell can also be used if you have a day in court and your opponent is dishonestly trying to Influence others.

This is a freezing spell.

If someone is working against you in a personal or legal matter and you know their name, you can try a freezing spell.

Write their name on a piece of parchment paper using a freshly sharpened pencil. Try to make the point of the pencil extremely sharp/pointy.

Fold the paper in half, until it is too small to fold anymore.

While you are folding instill your desires to make them stop lying, mocking or turning others against you. In short you are trying to freeze their actions. (Hence the spell name ).

Then pour vodka or denatured alcohol on the paper. I would advise doing this over the sink. Then put it far back in the corner of your freezer.

Leave it there for 28-30 days. Some believe this should be started during a waning moon.

This should stop the slander. Thus it has frozen them out.

Feel free to add any chants, candle magick etc. to infuse this spell with your intentions. Remember all magickal work HAS to be instilled with your intent. Adjust things as you feel comfortable.

Candle Magick Spell to Release Positive Energy

Items needed:
Your voice (can be spoken loudly or in a whisper)
Vanilla incense
White votive candle
(colors and scents are optional)-Vanilla is my fave scent and holds a special meaning to me and white represents purity and honorable intentions. But use what you need to represent you and your intentions-

Instructions:
Light candle & Incense. Inhale and exhale slowly while sitting with perfect posture (NO SLOUCHING). Focus on the relaxing smell of your incense and the hypnotic flicker of your candle. Do not look away from candle until you are fully relaxed (this can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes). When you are ready say:

Pull out the energy within me which is sleeping
Slow moving on a task is cause for weeping
My energy and intellect is under a slow spell
Remove the rock from under which it dwells
So Mote It Be!!

(visulaize picking up a heavy rock/object and tossing it far away, never to return and releasing your energy…)

Repeat as many times as necessary.
This works anytime of day or night.
If you have true and good intentions this will work without candles and incense, they just represent a focal point…….
